OVERLAND WAREHOUSE

A treasure from 1889 once buried in disrepair, now shines in Chinatown. Overland Warehouse is a restoration, seismic upgrade and adaptive reuse of a 40,000 square foot, 3-story, unreinforced masonry building that is considered a “Contributing Resource” to Portland’s Historic Chinatown District. The project was devised as a critical provider of creative office space, to help generate new investment in a neighborhood on the cusp of revitalization. With that in mind, the extensive renovation uncovered the building’s beauty, honored its history and transformed it for generations to come.
